Eligibility | SI Bridges to the Baccalaureate | SIU

AM I ELIGIBLE FOR SI BRIDGES?

You are eligible to apply if you meet the following criteria:

• You are a U.S. citizen or US permanent resident
• Will transfer to Southern Illinois University Carbondale (SIUC) to complete a Bachelors degree.
• You have a career interest in biomedical or behavioral sciences
• You are a full-time student at John A. Logan College or Shawnee Community College and registered for at least 12 credit hours
• You are available to participate in program-sponsored activities
• You have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 for all high-school work or 2.7 for all college work

AND you must meet at least one of the following criteria:

• You are a first-generation college student because neither of your parents has a bachelor's degree.
• You have a demonstrated financial need
• You have a documented physical or mental disability
• You are a member of an underrepresented minority group (African-American, Hispanic/Latino, Native American/Alaska Native or Pacific Islander)
